What is the PRC Youth Council?

The Progressive Resource Center is a domestic non-profit Georgia Corporation aimed at improving the quality of life for Young Adults and Seniors alike. The goal of the Youth Council is self empowerment through Community Service by which youth nominate and elect officers and recruit members to fulfill those goals.

A few of the projected goals are but not limited to Nursing Home and hospital visitation of Mature Adults, minor house chores for the sick and elderly, train for and support the Christmas in Action program. In return the Progressive Resource Center provides a positive place for Teens to come and enjoy dance, music, games, tutoring, computer, homework, fundraisers for trips and other ideas they may have.

The Parker Harrel Building located across from Northside park  will facilitate the Youth Council in their upcoming endeavors. This multi-purpose building is equipped with a full kitchen, a 9000 square feet auditorium with stage, a full PA system, closed circuit cameras, dressing rooms, and many more admenities to make this an ideal place for banquets, meetings, concerts, parties, showers etc.
